We are well aware of our responsibility to the environment. Examples include:

• Consideration of ecological aspects during procurement
• Re-use of product wastes
• Co-development of recycling projects
• The latest waste management concepts (waste separation systems, reduction of waste disposal costs, safe disposal)
• Combined heat and power plant: heat recovery for heating and cooling
• Collection and assessment of hazardous substances,
• A warehouse register is kept for hazardous substances and substances hazardous to water
  

CoKo was certified according to EC Eco-Audit Directive for the first time in 1997; certification according to DIN EN ISO 14.001 followed one year later.
